We are actively looking for motivated researchers at all levels! Please see below for details.

Postdoctoral scholars

We are looking for postdocs with experience in experimental quantum science and engineering. The quantum and nanoscience community at Rice is a highly stimulating environment with several unique opportunities for collaborative research. Exceptional candidates with an experimental background in related areas such as photonics, microwave devices, and nanofabrication will also be considered.

Please contact Srujan Meesala with your CV and a brief description of your research interests and goals.

PhD students

We are looking for PhD students with a strong interest in experimental quantum science and engineering. Our work is highly interdisciplinary and curiosity-driven. We encourage applications from motivated students from a broad range of disciplines including electrical engineering, applied physics, physics, and material science.

Students in the Applied Physics and ECE PhD programs at Rice can easily join the group.

If you are a prospective PhD student, please mention in your graduate application that you are interested in our research.

If you are a PhD student at Rice interested in our research, please contact Srujan Meesala.

Undergraduate and master’s students

Please reach out to discuss research opportunities! Examples of potential projects include: (i) design and simulation of quantum devices, (ii) experiment-adjacent theoretical analysis of quantum information systems, (iii) development of control hardware and software for measurements on quantum devices.
